As usual, at this time of the year, the Municipality of Portimão – with the support of Urban Sketchers Algarve – devotes a weekend to sketching. On saturday, the 24th, António Procópio and I will lead a workshop on distorted perspectives. We’ll show the basics of widening the angle of your sketchbook while portraying architecture and people. The workshop is free so, if you’re around, come by and put some some grotesque into your sketchbook.

After that, on sunday, sketchers will gather for an all-day sketchcrawl. Lunch break is, as always, sponsored by the City – make sure to register first, by writing to urbansketchersalgarve@gmail.com.

Como de costume, nesta altura do ano, o Município de Portimão – com o apoio dos Urban Sketchers Algarve – dedica um fim-de-semana ao desenho. No sábado de 24, o António Procópio e eu vamos conduzir uma oficina sobre perspectivas distorcidas. Iremos mostrar os fundamentais de alargar o ângulo do vosso caderno enquanto desenhamos arquitectura e pessoas. A oficina é gratuita, portanto, se estiverem na zona, apareçam e tornem o vosso caderno um pouco mais grotesco.
